Writing Update:

Slacked off big time with writing but I believe I did it because I know that I will be doing a lot of writing in my upcoming courses this Fall. I'm thinking of either writing fanfic or working on my novel this weekend. I saw a River Tam crossover with Teen Wolf and I might write something to do with that.

Reading Update:

I'm at 166/200 of my reading goal of the year. I read around 6 books since my last post: The Beauty of Darkness (The Remnant Chronicles, #3)

by Mary E. Pearson, Illuminae (The Illuminae Files, #1) by Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff, The Possibility of Somewhere
by Julia Day, This Is the Story of You by Beth Kephart, Marked in Flesh (The Others, #4) by Anne Bishop, Luck, Love & Lemon Pie by Amy E. Reichert

Three of the books were ARCS and books won from Goodreads.

I'm not sure what I will be reading today, I'm thinking either Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton (a series I've been meaning to start for ages) or Coin Heist by Elisa Ludwig.

School Update:

I start school on the 22nd of the month and I'm only taking English Courses. I'm also President of the Film Club and the Historian of the English Honors Society so I will be busy.

My classes:

Intro to Shakespeare
Comedy American Genre Film Class
African American Film

Ethnicity in American Lit.

Tv/Movies:

I'm kind of blah with tv and movies at the moment, the only show I'm currently watching is Vice Principals on HBO.

Writing Update:

I found some time friday and did some fanfic writing. :) I finished up the ficlet for Gilmore Girls/Walking Dead - No, Coffee, Coffee, it was super fun to write. It looks like Sunday will be my scheduled writing day for novel stuff and may try to write other prompts/fics before then.

Reading Update:

I reached 160 books read this year and I'm going to try and aim for 200. :) I quickly read American Girls by Alison Umminger, I wasn't a huge fan of it. I'm currently reading two fantasy novels, one in print and one on my phone/kindle (which was nice to have while waiting during my shopping trip today). The books I'm reading and loving are Marked in Flesh (The Others, #4)

by Anne Bishop and The Beauty of Darkness (The Remnant Chronicles, #3) by Mary E. Pearson. The second book is so huge I doubt I can carry it with me, lol. 26156985Marked in Flesh (The Others, #4)The Beauty of Darkness (The Remnant Chronicles, #3)

TV/Films:

I rented a few films from the library. I rewatched The Duff, which is so funny! And I watched The Only Lovers Left Alive, a vampire film with Tom Hiddleson, it was an okay film. I'm planning either a Gilmore Girls or Teen Wolf watch tonight, it depends on if my dad wants to watch something. :)

Shopping:

We went to the outlets near us for my mom's bday shopping, it was so busy and we walked all over. I let them go to a bunch of clothing stores while I read around 40 pages off my kindle and I spent a lot of time in Davidstea. I only picked up a new wallet and some tea for my dorm room this fall.

The teas, Irish Breakfast and Mocha Latte.

Writing Update: I've been pretty swapped at work with manual labor, folding that has three folds and tends to hurt your hands after awhile, and we need 16 boxes, I'm currently on box 8. So, I haven't had any time for reading/writing except at nighttime and my writing has suffered because I cannot go a day without reading, lol. Anyway, I'm planning on making up for it on the weekend by writing at least one chapter of the novel and finish my Gilmore Girls fanfic. :)

Reading Update: I snuck some reading in during work yesterday and finished up Yesternight by Cat Winters, an ARC, it was an okay read. I was not a fan of the ending. I flew through Geek Girl by Holly Smale ast night, I started it around 5 and finished it up around 11 before bed. It was so cute! I'm planning on putting the other novels in the series on the top of my TBR and I'll request them from my university library when I start school this month.

Life Update:

Lots of work. :P My grandmas coming up Sat again because it is my mom's birthday soon and she wants to get her some nice things from the outlets near out house. I'm not planning on buying anything but I'm tagging along for the food court and the tea place (Davidstea) and a look at the disney store.

Movie/TV Update:

I've been doing a Gilmore Girls rewatch with my Dad who has not seen the show and is really enjoying it. (after the big fuss he made about starting the show, lol, because it was too 'girly'). We are on episode 7.10, I'm enjoying it because I barely remember watching this season back when it was airing. I own the complete series on DVD and do not regret buying them. :) I'm planning on getting Netflix for one month in November just for the new season! :) I still have a lot of shows to catch-up on (and some are not work appropriate) and I'm hoping that will happen this weekend.

Sunday night was fun we went to my favorite dine-in theater and saw Suicide Squad, it was an okay film. The prices have gone up quite a bit so we might not go back for a while but we had a nice buffalo chicken pizza and I got the speical drink, the Mr. J, it was good but gave me a horrible headache the next day.

Writing Update: I slacked on the writing, so my goal today after I finish up some work is to write some character bios, 1,000 words of my novel, and also I started working on a fun fic crossing over Gilmore Girls and The Walking Dead (Rory/Daryl).

Reading Update: I put down Yesternight to binge read Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty because it is due at the library soon and has a few holds on it. It was an okay read, could have been more thrilling. I'm working today so not much time to read but I will be finishing the Cat Winters novel tonight and maybe start another on my TBR if I can't sleep.

TV/Movies:

They put up season 5 part 2 of Teen Wolf on Amazon Prime and I'm planning on watching that soon, so far I've watched one episode. I still have three episodes ever left of Hannibal but I don't enjoy watching scary/creepy things before bed so I'll be finishing it next weekend.

Writing Update: I've been slacking but I did work on my possible novel on Friday, might plot out a time today to write either that or fanfiction. I might even write some Gilmore Girls fanfiction since I finishing up my rewatch. :)

Reading Update: I had a horrible time sleeping on Friday so that means I get a lot of reading done. I finished both The Mime Order and And I Darken, enjoyed both of them. :) I went to the library but it looks like I really want to read Yesternight by Cat Winters, an ARC from netgalley because I adore her writing. 25566506 I'm only about 11% in but I like it enough to keep reading. I then have a lot of books that are due at the library to finally read.

Yesterday:

My day was full I started off having to take my cat, Echo, to the vet or her rabies shot. However, it looks like she needs something done to her teeth so she had to get blook work done. She is will be out under in October and might have some teeth pulled, I'm at college during that time and I plan on heading back to be with her.

My grandma visited so we went thrift shopping and to target to get some new clothing. I found some good pants, a rain jacket, tee-shirts, and some flannels. I also lucked out and found a disney sweatshirt of minnie for only $2.

Tonight:

I'm going with my parents to our favorite cinema to see Suicide Squad, it is a dine theater so we can get dinner and drinks. :) It is a celebration for my good grades during my summer courses.

Yesterday was pretty busy I ended up working from 9-9, lol. I'm planning on relaxing today before a busy weekend of the vet, my grandma visiting, and hopefully going to Suicide Squad.

Writing Update: I didn't get any fanfic writing done, however, I had a idea for a possible short story novel.

Outline:
Rose Warner goes to live with her father after her mother passes away and is thrown into a strange new world. It turns out that the Grimm’s fairy tales were based on real people and now in the present world their bloodlines still exist. The bloodlines were cursed by a witch, to fight each other, and Every 100 years one child of the bloodlines is the reincarnation of the original ancestor and come into their possible gifts and destiny at 18 years old. The reincarnations are linked with one another and each of them have soul mates that are picked for them and continue the bloodlines and the curse. But Rose’s soul mate is the Big Bad Wolf and it goes against centuries of destiny and history. It turns out that each side, the descendants of the villains and the heroes are in a life-long war that always intensifies when the reincarnations are finally identified. However, over the years it has become unclear which side is truly good or evil and Rose has to figure out which side she fights for.

I suck at sticking to novels but I hope to start writing at least 500-1,000 words a day and maybe writing the majority of it in November.

Reading Update:

I had no time for reading but I did make progress on And I Darken by Kiersten White, I'm 71% done. I also started reading
The Mime Order (The Bone Season, #2) by Samantha Shannon again, 42% done with that one and glad that I'm finally finishing it.

Writing Update: I finished the first part of my Pushing Daisies/Hannibal crossober - Land of the Living. Started working on a second chapter, not sure if it will work out or not but based on the video I think it will be interesting to make Ned a bit evil and have Abigail/Ned have a bonnie/clyde thing. We shall see.

Reading Update: I finished up A Hundred Thousand Worlds by Bob Proehl, it was a great read, I gave it about 4.5 stars. I would recommend it for fans of comics and comic cons. :) I started my next read, And I Darken (The Conquerors Saga #1) by Kiersten White, I'm enjoying it so far, it is interesting to read from a pov of main character who is mixture of good/bad.

I'm still working on my Pushing Daisies/Hannibal Crossover, trying to finish it tonight, I have a bunch of prompts I sagged I may work on, and I'm thinking about creating another original character for Justified for Boyd, who does not get much love in videos or fanfics. It is one I've been thinking of writing for ages.

Anyway, today was a fun lazy day, I did end up working a bit but spent the first part of the day napping and playing the first episode of the new Batman game from Telltale. Enjoying it so far.

Reading, A Hundred Thousand Worlds by Bob Proehl, it focuses on people at comic cons, artists/writers/tv stars, really enjoying it so far. I'm heading to the library after work, which is my favorite place, and picking a book on hold plus swapping out some movies. Not sure what I what yet, I tend to just grab anything that looks good. In my last haul I watched Pixels (which was mindless fun) and Adult Beginners, going for a comedy/fun theme lately.

I've been doing these "hello, long time no write" posts for a while now, and it my new goal for the end of the year to post at least once a month or week, even if it just about what I'm reading or my writing. I've been super depressed this year and a lot of my favorite past times are not helping me get through it, reading and writing fanfic used to be how I coped but now I have a hard time mustering the energy for anything. Plus, my anxiety disorder has begun to get worse and it might be time to get help for it. But for now my goal is to get back into writing fanfic, even if it is just small stuff and read as much as can before I get sucked back into academic writing in the fall.

I've been completely absorbed with my class load in the fall/spring/summer and I'm going into my last two semesters of college. It will eat up all of time so I'm trying to read, watch shows, and write a lot this month before classes start.

The last fanfic I wrote was back in May, I was finishing up Justified Season 6 but now I finally wrote the first chapter of my Edward Nygma OC fanfic series I've been sitting on for a while. Silent Riddles. I also started working on a Pushing Daisies and Hannibal crossover with Abigail and Ned. :) I would love any prompts, I'm trying hard to get back into writing for fun.

Despite having a lot of anxiety and stress over classes the first months of summer I did get a lot of quality reading done. Link to Goodreads. :)

I finally got myself some Adult Coloring books! :)
